Opening Times and Charges

Opening Months

At present the museum is closed for the winter.

Our usual opening dates are from March 1 to November 30 but because of the present Covid restrictions it seems likely that the museum opening date will be delayed this year. We shall open just as soon as it is permissible and safe to do so.

The  shop  may be permitted to open earlier than the museum and will do so as soon as allowed.

Watch this space!

Facilities

We have a single accessible unisex toilet for our visitors.

Refreshments - there are plenty of good local cafes within 5 to 10 minutes walk of the museum.

Access

There is flat-floor access to all ground floor areas.

We regret that because of the historic nature of the building, access to the upper galleries may not be possible for people who find the stairs too challenging.

When the museum is fully open (non COVID-19 restricted), for any of our visitors who are unable to access the upper galleries, please request free entry to the Museum and the opportunity to view a video of the permanent 'Wallingford Story' display with audio.

Accompanying carers will be offered free entry.

We can provide limited on-site parking if booked in advance of your visit.  Please do contact us.
